Full Spectrum vs Broad Spectrum CBD Oil

CBD extracts can be categorized as broad spectrum, full spectrum, or isolate. If all extracts of the Cannabis plant, including CBD, terpenes, flavonoids, essential oils, and other cannabinoids, are utilized, the extract is called full-spectrum. Legal and safe products should have a THC concentration of <0.3%. The benefits of full spectrum oils are widely studied.

Research suggests and in cases shows the following characteristics of full spectrum oils with <0.3% include but are not limited to:

Anticonvulsant (Seizure Relief), antioxidant (Cellular health), anxiolytic (Anxiety Relief), analgesic (Pain Relief), anti-inflammatory (Joint Pain); treats psychotic disorders (Episode relief) and relieves spasms (Parkinsons), Antibiotic (Disease resistance), antifungal (Infection resistance).

Flora Fusion products are guaranteed to ensure THC content doesn’t exceed 0.03 % in any instance within our full spectrum range.

Broad spectrum is similar to full spectrum with the exception that it is nearly THC free and, in some cases, even seeing a reduced cannabinoid and terpene profile.

There will still be beneficial broad-spectrum formulas accessible today which may provide many potential benefits. But then again who wants to drive the standard BMW when you can have the Sports Model Ferrari! 😊

Finally, isolate, which is typically harvested from Cannabis sativa, is pure CBD. Isolate has shown to have benefits which are only realized within a Bell Curve model, which simply put means that it is difficult to maintain and realise the benefits with just CBD alone. It’s not that there aren’t any benefits, more that they aren’t nearly as noteworthy as a broad spectrum or certainly full spectrum formulas and reported consumer evidence.

The Clinical benefits stated have been seen with broad- or full-spectrum CBD products due to the presumed synergistic actions of the various phyto-cannabinoids as well as other plant constituents, which has been termed the “entourage effect”.

This is where the magic really happens. When all components of the phyto-cannabinoid, Terpene and respective fatty acids profiles are available, they work together synergistically to optimize the absorption and action of the chemicals within the human body. Amazing right? We really owe a lot to this versatile plant.

We always recommend to our customers to research and ensure they purchase high quality oils which are full spectrum. The benefits can sometimes be miraculous but it is important to know that every person is different and so too their reaction or outcome of using CBD.
